update happiness

Whew what a long day! I've been away from the computer all day... I am so excited to sit down and have a moment for blogging.

We took the smart car on our road trip to Sacramento for our power lifting competition. The top down = fabulous and so great but smart car = not so smart for long trips. Roomy, yes but you can feel every bump in the road and heaven forbid the wind blow or an 18-wheeler zoom past you. Conclusion = smart car is smarter for around town.

So the super happy news is that not only did I make my goal of lifting more than my weight but I blew my personal record out of the gym with a 220 lb dead lift (which won me 1st place in my division)! The socks are to keep me from skinning up my shins when you pick up the bar (and to look cute-- of course).
Let's spend a moment on this glorious outfit. It is called a "singlet" and you are absolutely right in thinking that NO one looks good in it. It is like a grown up onezee (all it needs are snaps at the crotch) and I am not amused. You'd think they could come up with a better uniform... well I think they could at least try.

Look who I got to meet at the power lifting competition! His name is Tater and I just wanted to hug him and squeeze him and love him into itty bitty pieces!
Cliff of course did amazing, again! He got 3-- 1st place and 2-- 2nd place awards!

Happy Birthday, my love. What I know for sure is that that we are on our way to great places together. We make an outstanding team and I am so happy to be by your side. You make me smile from the inside out and I could not ask for a better partner in life. I am happy you were born all those years ago. ; )

Hooray for the returning champions!Bask in your glory and save the smart car for tooling around the homefront in the future. (It's hard to enjoy the basking when the wind is pushing your car around on the ride home.)
